Exploring the Website

It is important to note some additional key areas and resources in the Choosing to Participate website. Please take a moment to explore the following items from the site:

  • Reflections. The site offers an area where visitors can post their own responses to the question we all addressed in our first discussion of this workshop. The Reflections area also allows visitors to read how others have responded.

  • Upstanders. Facing History and Ourselves defines upstanders as "Those who do not simply stand by in the face of injustice, but understand that each one of us can make a difference." This section of our website presents a group of ordinary citizens who have done extraordinary things.

  • Student Corner. In the Student Corner, you can watch videos, read stories, and see art, all created by students who have been inspired by Choosing to Participate. The Student Corner also allows your students to submit their own artwork and videos.
